Yes, the Magical Mystery Tour is family‑friendly, giving you the flexibility to enjoy the experience with children or as an adults‑only day out.
Please note that the tour lasts approximately two hours, with limited opportunities for comfort breaks, so this should be considered when planning your visit with younger children.
The tour concludes at The Cavern Club, where live music takes place daily. Children and young people under 18 are welcome on site until 8pm. For those with sensitive hearing, we recommend bringing ear defenders.
Children under the age of 3 travel free, however a seat must still be allocated to them by law, so please ensure they are included in your booking.
The Magical Mystery Tour is led by a live English‑speaking guide. For visitors who prefer an alternative language, we offer written guidebooks to accompany the tour, translated into a range of languages including Spanish, Brazillian Portuguese, French, German, Japanese and Mandarin.
These guides follow the tour route and provide the story and background of each landmark visited along the way. Translated guidebooks are available to purchase for £2 from our Tour Ticket Office prior to boarding the coach.
Car Parking: Liverpool ONE (L1 8LT) – just a 5-minute walk from the start point (Albert Dock) and finish point (North John Street).
Yes, your tour boarding card, collected at check‑in prior to departure, includes free entry to The Cavern Club on the day of your tour.
The Magical Mystery Tour finishes at The Cavern Club, but if you’d prefer to use your complimentary entry later in the day, you are very welcome to do so.
Please note that visitors under the age of 18 are permitted on site until 8pm.
We understand that delays outside of your control can sometimes occur. If you think you may miss your scheduled tour, please contact us by telephone as soon as possible. (+44 (0)151 709 7200)
While tickets are non‑refundable, we will do our best to move your booking to a later tour, subject to availability and provided your original tour has not already departed.
Please note that, for operational reasons, we are unable to delay tours for late arrivals. We appreciate your understanding and recommend allowing plenty of time to check in ahead of departure.
The tour ends on North John Street in Liverpool city centre. If you wish to return to the Albert Dock, it is approximately a 15‑minute walk. The route is flat, centrally located and easily accessible via the Liverpool ONE shopping area, towards the waterfront.
The tour does not include scheduled comfort‑break stops. However, at the stop near George Harrison’s birthplace, there is a nearby pub that permits toilet access for Magical Mystery Tour guests.
If you wish to use the facilities, please let your guide or driver know that you will be stepping away from the group briefly, and rejoin the tour at the agreed point.
Yes—our iconic Magical Mystery Tour can be privately hired for large groups (subject to availability) using one of our 53‑seat coaches. A private tour offers greater flexibility around timing and allows for a more tailored experience, with the option to explore the Beatles story and Liverpool’s rich musical heritage in more detail.
We can accommodate customised itineraries ranging from 2 to 4 hours, making it ideal for corporate groups, special occasions, and organised visits.
To enquire about private hire, please use the contact form on this website and a member of the team will be happy to assist.
