Dale

Hi I’m Dale!

I’ve delivered thousands of tours since joining Cavern City Tours in 2018. With over a decade of experience in the tourism sector, I’ve developed extensive knowledge of Liverpool, The Beatles, The Cavern Club, and Merseybeat history. I regularly guide at the Cavern and work closely with them and the wider Beatles community across the city.

My guiding style is energetic, engaging, and full of humour, with storytelling at its heart. I love bringing beauty to the ordinary and reminding people that The Beatles were four normal lads from Liverpool who went on to change the world.

I’m incredibly proud to be from Liverpool. I also one of the owners of George Harrison’s childhood home (25 Upton Green, Speke), deliver tours for Liverpool Football Club and their academy players—some might say I work eight days a week!

Outside of guiding, I’m dad to my son Jude. I’ve got a spaniel called Snoop Dogg, and I enjoy heading out on hikes—ideally finishing with a pint of Guinness in hand.

Hi I’m Robyn!

I’m the newest addition to the Magical Mystery Tour guiding team, and I’ve been a Beatles fan for as long as I can remember. My love for the Fab Four began with my Grandad, a true superfan whose passion was infectious. Every summer, he’d take me on our very own “Beatles tour,” driving around Liverpool and sharing stories as we visited many of the iconic places I’m now lucky enough to revisit as a guide—it really feels like a full‑circle moment.

I have so many special memories from those days, but one that always stands out is waving at the Magical Mystery Tour bus as it passed us by. Fast forward 20 years, and I’m now proud to be one of the guides on the very same bus I used to wave at as a child.

It still feels just as magical—only now I get to share that magic with others.

Hi I’m Tony!

I have been a professional Beatles tour guide on the Magical Mystery Tour since 2023, sharing my deep knowledge and passion for The Beatles with visitors from around the world. Prior to this, I spent over twenty years performing internationally as a member of a world renowned Beatles tribute band, including more than 700 appearances at Liverpool’s iconic Cavern Club.

As a young child, I grew up just across the road from Paul McCartney’s family home on Forthlin Road, now a key stop on the tour I lead daily. This connection gives me a uniquely personal connection to the story I tell to visitors from all around the world. I’m also very honoured and proud to be one of the principal compères for the annual International Beatleweek festival held in Liverpool, helping to celebrate the enduring legacy of the band on a global stage.

Hi I’m Del!

I’ve been guiding aboard the Magical Mystery Tour since 2023, and it’s an absolute joy to share Liverpool’s incredible musical heritage with visitors from all over the world.

Before stepping onto the bus, I built a varied and creative career as a film and media lecturer, actor, DJ, record shop owner, and music and film journalist. These experiences have shaped my passion for storytelling and give me plenty of insight—and a few great anecdotes—to bring each tour to life.

I’ve been a Beatles fan since I was a toddler, so this role truly feels like a natural fit. Their music has always been part of my life, and I take great pride in sharing not just their story, but the spirit of the city that shaped them.

As a proud Liverpudlian, nothing means more to me than welcoming people to my hometown and showing them what makes it so special. Being able to combine my love of music, film, and Liverpool every day really does make this my dream job.

Hi I’m Charlie!

As a professional musician of 20 years, The Beatles have always held a special place within me and after years of travelling and seeing the world, it’s no surprise Liverpool would become my home. From first playing The Cavern Club in 2008, I have since become a resident musician for over 10 years and now enjoy performing 4-6 times a week to audiences from around the globe who want to celebrate the greatest music city in the world, which of course means the ‘Fab Four’!

The decision to train to become a tour guide at The Magical Mystery Tour in 2022 was a no brainer! The Beatles are the greatest band of all time, their story is incomparable and it began in Liverpool, the true star of the show! It’s a pleasure to share my love of this city and its favourite sons with the world every day!
